delta-Dendrotoxin. A potent and specific blocker of Kv1.1 Channels. delta-Dendrotoxin is isolated from Dendroaspis angusticeps snake venom, by modification of the procedures of Harvey and Benishin and purified to homogeneity. delta-Dendrotoxin blocks Kv1.1 channels (IC50= 0.1 nM). The toxin was shown to block also Kv1.6 (IC50= 23 nM). In addition delta-Dendrotoxin blocks ROMK1 inward rectifier K+ channels with Kd of 150 nM.
