Zinc finger FYVE domain-containing protein 27 (,Zebrafish/Fish,YVE27) is involved in neuronal intracellular trafficking in the corticospinal tract. ,Zebrafish/Fish,YVE27 binds to spastin, the most commonly mutated protein in the autosomal dominant form of hereditary spastic paraplegia (AD-HSP). Mutations in ,Zebrafish/Fish,YVE27 have also been found in individuals with (AD-HSP). Spastic paraplegia is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by a slow, gradual,Porcinerogressive weakness and spasticity of the lower limbs.
