This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-VPS26A Antibody (ARP61669_P050), made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.
Reactivities: Human
Presku: AAP61669
Size: 100ug
Weight: 36kDa
Gene: The peptide is characterized by mass spectroscopy
Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: This gene belongs to a group of vacuolar protein sorting (VPS) genes. The encoded protein is a component of a large multimeric complex, termed the retromer complex, involved in retrograde transport of proteins from endosomes to the trans-Golgi network. The close structural similarity between the yeast and human proteins that make up this complex suggests a similarity in function. Expression studies in yeast and mammalian cells indicate that this protein interacts directly with VPS35, which serves as the core of the retromer complex.
Alternative names: FLJ12930; HB58; Hbeta58; PEP8A; VPS26
