This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-UBE2K antibody (Catalogue #: ARP58012_P050) made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.
Presku: AAP58012
Size: 100 ug
Weight: 22kDa
Gene: 3093
Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: UBE2K belongs to the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. This protein interacts with RING finger proteins, and it can ubiquitinate huntingtin, the gene product for Huntington's disease. Known functions for this protein include a role in aggregate formation of expanded polyglutamine proteins and the suppression of apoptosis in polyglutamine diseases, a role in the dislocation of newly synthesized MHC class I heavy chains from the endoplasmic reticulum, and involvement in foam cell formation. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
