This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-TRAPPC2 antibody (Catalogue #: ARP50568_P050) made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.
Presku: AAP50568
Size: 100 ug
Weight: 16kDa
Gene: 6399
Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: TRAPPC2 prevents MBP1-mediated transcriptional repression and antagonizes MBP1-mediated cell death. TRAPPC2 may play a role in vesicular transport from endoplasmic reticulum to Golgi. The protein encoded by this gene is thought to be part of a large multisubunit complex involved in the targeting and fusion of endoplasmic reticulum-to-Golgi transport vesicles with their acceptor compartment. In addition, the encoded protein can bind MBP1 and block its transcriptional repression capability. Mutations in this gene are a cause of spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia tarda (SEDT). A processed pseudogene of this gene is located on chromosome 19, and other pseuodogenes are found on chromosomes 8 and Y. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms or having different 5' UTRs, have been found for this gene.
Alternative names: MIP-2A; SEDL; SEDT; TRS20; ZNF547L; hYP38334
