This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-Taf8 Antibody (ARP52628_P050), made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.
Reactivities: Human, Mouse
Presku: AAP52628
Size: 100ug
Weight: 34kDa
Gene: The peptide is characterized by mass spectroscopy
Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: Transcription factor TFIID is one of the general factors required for accurate and regulated initiation by RNA polymerase II. Taf8 mediates both basal and activator-dependent transcription. Taf8 plays a role in the differentiation of preadipocyte fibroblasts to adipocytes, however does not seem to play a role in differentiation of myoblasts. Required for the integration of TAF10 in the TAF complex. Taf8 may be important for survival of cells of the inner cell mass which constitute the pluripotent cell population of the early embryo.
