This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-ST3GAL5 antibody (Catalogue #: ARP46385_T100) made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.
Presku: AAP46385
Size: 100 ug
Weight: 48kDa
Gene: 8869
Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: Ganglioside GM3 is known to participate in the induction of cell differentiation, modulation of cell proliferation, maintenance of fibroblast morphology, signal transduction, and integrin-mediated cell adhesion. ST3GAL5 is a type II membrane protein which catalyzes the formation of GM3 using lactosylceramide as the substrate. It is a member of glycosyltransferase family 29 and may be localized to the Golgi apparatus. Mutation in its gene has been associated with Amish infantile epilepsy syndrome.Ganglioside GM3 is known to participate in the induction of cell differentiation, modulation of cell proliferation, maintenance of fibroblast morphology, signal transduction, and integrin-mediated cell adhesion.
