This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-SSPN antibody (Catalogue #: ARP46567_P050) made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.

Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: SSPN is a member of the dystrophin-glycoprotein complex (DGC). The DGC spans the sarcolemma and is comprised of dystrophin, syntrophin, alpha- and beta-dystroglycans and sarcoglycans. The DGC provides a structural link between the subsarcolemmal cytoskeleton and the extracellular matrix of muscle cells.SSPN gene is expressed in a variety of tissues with highest levels in muscle, where alternative splice variants have been observed. In certain tumors KRAS2, SSPN, and ITPR2 are coamplified. The function of this gene is unknown. Publication Note: This RefSeq record includes a subset of the publications that are available for this gene. Please see the Entrez Gene record to access additional publications.
Alternative names: KRAG; SPN1; SPN2
