Interleukin 32 alpha (IL-32 alpha ) is one of approximately six splice variants of the IL-32 gene. IL-32 alpha has been shown to induce IL-8, TNF alpha , and MIP-2 production from & macrophage cell lines. IL-32 alpha is up-regulated in activated T cells, natural killer cells, and IFN gamma -treated epithelial cells. Recombinant IL-32 alpha is a non-glycosylated Protein, containing 131 amino acids, with a molecular weight of 14.9 kDa.
