This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-PCDH8 antibody (Catalogue #: ARP45339_P050) made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.
Presku: AAP45339
Size: 100 ug
Weight: 101kDa
Gene: 5100
Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: This gene belongs to the protocadherin gene family, a subfamily of the cadherin superfamily. PCDH8 is an integral membrane protein that is thought to function in cell adhesion in a CNS-specific manner. Unlike classical cadherins, which are generally encoded by 15-17 exons, this gene includes only 3 exons. Notable is the large first exon encoding the extracellular region, including 6 cadherin domains and a transmembrane region. This gene belongs to the protocadherin gene family, a subfamily of the cadherin superfamily.
