This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-NLGN4X antibody (Catalogue #: ARP49557_P050) made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.

Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: NLGN4X is a member of a family of neuronal cell surface proteins. Members of this family may act as splice site-specific ligands for beta-neurexins and may be involved in the formation and remodeling of central nervous system synapses. It interacts with discs, large (Drosophila) homolog 4 (DLG4). NLGN4X might play a role in the autism and Asperger syndrome.Western blots using two different antibodies against two unique regions of this protein target confirm the same apparent molecular weight in our tests. This gene encodes a member of a family of neuronal cell surface proteins. Members of this family may act as splice site-specific ligands for beta-neurexins and may be involved in the formation and remodeling of central nervous system synapses. The encoded protein interacts with discs, large (Drosophila) homolog 4 (DLG4). Mutations in this gene have been associated with autism and Asperger syndrome. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified for this gene.
