Myoglobin, a haem protein which has no known isoforms, is expressed in all striated muscle tissue. Myoglobin has been demonstrated to be an early marker for myocardial infarction. The measurement of myoglobin over a 9 hour period was the most predictive of subsequent adverse events in patients evaluated for possible acute coronary syndrome. RANDOX recombinant human Myoglobin is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag. This product is for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
