The chicken major histocompatibility comple, Xenopus/Amphibian, (MHC) class I is similar to the mammalian MHC class I consisting of a polymorphic alpha chain (45 kDa) non covalently bound to b2-microglobulin (12-14 kDa). MHC class I is e, Xenopus/Amphibian,pressed on most nucleated cells in chicken, including the red blood cells. This antibody reacts with the alpha chain of chicken MHC class I, both native and denatured.
