This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-MAP4K5 antibody (Catalogue #: ARP33101_P050) made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.
Presku: AAP33101
Size: 100 ug
Weight: 95kDa
Gene: 11183
Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: MAP4K5 may play a role in the response to environmental stress. Appears to act upstream of the JUN N-terminal pathway. This gene encodes a member of the serine/threonine protein kinase family, that is highly similar to yeast SPS1/STE20 kinase. Yeast SPS1/STE20 functions near the beginning of the MAP kinase signal cascades that is essential for yeast pheromone response. This kinase was shown to activate Jun kinase in mammalian cells, which suggested a role in stress response. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been described for this gene.
Alternative names: GCKR; KHS; KHS1; MAPKKKK5
