This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-Mafa Antibody(ARP37615_P050), made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.
Reactivities: Mouse
Presku: AAP37615
Size: 100ug
Weight: 37kDa
Gene: 378435
Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: Mafa acts as a transcriptional factor. Mafa specifically binds the insulin enhancer element RIPE3b. Mafa cooperates synergistically with NEUROD1 and PDX1. Phosphorylation by GSK3 increases its transcriptional activity and is required for its oncogenic activity. Mafa regulates the insulin gene transcription. Mafa is involved either as an oncogene or as a tumor suppressor, depending on the cell context.
Alternative names: RIPE3b1
