This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-Lpcat2 Antibody (ARP47360_P050), made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.
Reactivities: Mouse
Presku: AAP47360
Size: 100ug
Weight: 60kDa
Gene: The peptide is characterized by mass spectroscopy
Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: Lpcat2 possesses both acyltransferase and acetyltransferase activities. Activity is calcium-dependent. It is involved in platelet-activating factor (PAF) biosynthesis by catalyzing the conversion of the PAF precursor, 1-O-alkyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (lyso-PAF) into 1-O-alkyl-2-acetyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (PAF). It also converts lyso-PAF to 1-alkyl-phosphatidylcholine (PC), a major component of cell membranes and a PAF precursor. Under resting conditions, acyltransferase activity is preferred. Upon acute inflammatory stimulus, acetyltransferase activity is enhanced and PAF synthesis increases.
Alternative names: A330042H22; Aytl1; LPCAT2; lpafat1
