LIPC Recombinant Protein (0.05 mg)

LIPC Recombinant Protein (0.05 mg)

Hepatic lipase, also known as LIPC, is a lipolytic enzyme synthesized and secreted by hepatocytes that bind extracellularly to the parenchymal and endothelial cell surfaces in the space of Disse. Clinical studies have shown that an inverse relationship exists between the LIPC activity in postheparin plasma and plasma HDL-C concentrations, suggesting that it can serve as a marker for cardiovascular disease risk and may serve as a target for therapy. The doublet observed in the SDS-PAGE is likely due to incomplete removal of the signal sequence.
