This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-KCNK5 antibody (Catalogue #: ARP37679_P050) made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.
Presku: AAP37679
Size: 100 ug
Weight: 55kDa

Target: KCNK5 is one of the members of the superfamily of potassium channel proteins containing two pore-forming P domains. KCNK5 is mainly expressed in the cortical distal tubules and collecting ducts of the kidney. The protein is highly sensitive to external pH and this, in combination with its expression pattern, suggests it may play an important role in renal potassium transport.
