Intermediate conductance calcium-activated potassium channel protein 4 (KCa3.1) forms a voltage-independent potassium channel that is activated by intracellular calcium. Activation of KCa3.1 is followed by membrane hyperpolarization which promotes calcium influ, Xenopus/Amphibian,. The channel is blocked by clotrimazole and charybdoto, Xenopus/Amphibian,in but is insensitive to apamin.
