This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-IREB2 antibody (Catalogue #: ARP40509_P050) made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.
Presku: AAP40509
Size: 100 ug
Weight: 105kDa
Gene: 3658
Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: IREB2 binds to iron-responsive elements (IRES), which are stem-loop structures found in the 5'-UTR of ferritin, and delta aminolevulinic acid synthase mRNAs, and in the 3'-UTR of transferrin receptor mRNA. IREB2 binds to the IRE element in ferritin which results in the repression of its mRNA translation. Binding of the protein to the transferrin receptor mRNA inhibits the degradation of this otherwise rapidly degraded mRNA.
