This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-INSIG2 antibody (Catalogue #: ARP40165_P050) made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.
Presku: AAP40165
Size: 100 ug
Weight: 25kDa
Gene: 51141
Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: INSIG2 is highly similar to the protein product encoded by gene INSIG1. Both INSIG1 protein and this protein are endoplasmic reticulum proteins that block the processing of sterol regulatory element binding proteins (SREBPs) by binding to SREBP cleavage-activating protein (SCAP), and thus prevent SCAP from escorting SREBPs to the Golgi. The protein encoded by this gene is highly similar to the protein product encoded by gene INSIG1.
