This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-HDAC4 antibody (Catalogue #: ARP34229_P050) made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.
Presku: AAP34229
Size: 100 ug
Weight: 119kDa
Gene: 9759
Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: Histones play a critical role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression, and developmental events. Histone acetylation/deacetylation alters chromosome structure and affects transcription factor access to DNA. HDAC4 belongs to class II of the histone deacetylase/acuc/apha family. It possesses histone deacetylase activity and represses transcription when tethered to a promoter. This protein does not bind DNA directly, but through transcription factors MEF2C and MEF2D. It seems to interact in a multiprotein complex with RbAp48 and HDAC3.Histones play a critical role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression, and developmental events.
