Glycogen synthase kinase-3 beta (GSK3b) participates in the Wnt signaling pathway. GSK3b is implicated in the hormonal control of several regulatory proteins including glycogen synthase,Mouse,YB and the transcription factor Jun. GSK3b phosphorylates Jun at sites pro, Xenopus/Amphibian,imal to its DNA-binding domain, thereby reducing its affinity for DNA. Ser9 phosphorylation underlies the inhibition of GSK3b by insulin.
