This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-GRIK2 antibody (Catalogue #: ARP35515_T100) made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.
Presku: AAP35515
Size: 100 ug
Weight: 40kDa
Gene: 2898
Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: The GRIK2 gene encodes a subunit of a kainate glutamate receptor. Glutamate receptors mediate the majority of excitatory neurotransmission in the brain. This receptor may have a role in synaptic plasticity and may be important for learning and memory. It also may be involved in the transmission of light information from the retina to the hypothalamus. The structure and function of the encoded protein is changed by RNA editing.
