This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-GCLC Antibody(ARP54577_P050), made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.
Reactivities: Human
Presku: AAP54577
Size: 100ug
Weight: 73kDa
Gene: 2729
Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: Glutamate-cysteine ligase, also known as gamma-glutamylcysteine synthetase is the first rate limiting enzyme of glutathione synthesis. The enzyme consists of two subunits, a heavy catalytic subunit and a light regulatory subunit. GCLC is the catalytic subunit of 637 amino acids with a calculated molecular weight of 72.773 kDa. Deficiency of gamma-glutamylcysteine synthetase in human is associated with enzymopathic hemolytic anemia.
Alternative names: GCL; GCS; GLCL; GLCLC
