This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-EIF4A1 Antibody(ARP48065_P050), made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.
Reactivities: Human
Presku: AAP48065
Size: 100ug
Weight: 46kDa
Gene: 1973
Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: EIF4A1 is an ATP-dependent RNA helicase which is a subunit of the eIF4F complex involved in cap recognition and is required for mRNA binding to ribosome. In the current model of translation initiation, eIF4A unwinds RNA secondary structures in the 5'-UTR of mRNAs which is necessary to allow efficient binding of the small ribosomal subunit, and subsequent scanning for the initiator codon.
Alternative names: DDX2A; EIF-4A; EIF4A
