This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-EIF3D Antibody (ARP62386_P050), made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.
Reactivities: Human
Presku: AAP62386
Size: 100ug
Weight: 60kDa
Gene: The peptide is characterized by mass spectroscopy
Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: Eukaryotic translation initiation factor-3 (eIF3), the largest of the eIFs, is a multiprotein complex composed of at least ten nonidentical subunits. The complex binds to the 40S ribosome and helps maintain the 40S and 60S ribosomal subunits in a dissociated state. It is also thought to play a role in the formation of the 40S initiation complex by interacting with the ternary complex of eIF2/GTP/methionyl-tRNA, and by promoting mRNA binding. The protein encoded by this gene is the major RNA binding subunit of the eIF3 complex.
Alternative names: EIF3S7; MGC126526; MGC17258; eIF3-p66; eIF3-zeta
