This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-DEAF1 antibody (Catalogue #: ARP39468_P050) made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.
Presku: AAP39468
Size: 100 ug
Weight: 59kDa
Gene: 10522
Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: DEAF1 down-regulates transcription of those genes by binding to sequence with multiple copies of TTC[CG]G present in their own promoter and that of the HNRPA2B1 gene. DEAF1 binds to the retinoic acid response element (RARE) AGGGTTCACCGAAAGTTCA. DEAF1 activates the proenkephalin gene independently of promoter binding, probably through protein-protein interaction. When secreted, behaves as an inhibitor of cell proliferation, by arresting cells in the G0 or G1 phase.
