This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-DCN antibody (Catalogue #: ARP48199_P050) made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.
Presku: AAP48199
Size: 100 ug
Weight: 36kDa
Gene: 1634
Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: DCN is a small cellular or pericellular matrix proteoglycan that is closely related in structure to biglycan protein. This protein and biglycan are thought to be the result of a gene duplication. DCN is a component of connective tissue, binds to type I collagen fibrils, and plays a role in matrix assembly. It contains one attached glycosaminoglycan chain. This protein is capable of suppressing the growth of various tumor cell lines. There are multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants known for this gene. This gene is a candidate gene for Marfan syndrome. The protein encoded by this gene is a small cellular or pericellular matrix proteoglycan that is closely related in structure to biglycan protein.
