This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-CYP4B1 antibody (Catalogue #: ARP41814_P050) made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.

Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: CYP4B1 is a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. The cytochrome P450 proteins are monooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. This protein localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum. In rodents, the homologous protein has been shown to metabolize certain carcinogens; however, the specific function of the human protein has not been determined. This gene encodes a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. Two transcript variants encoding slightly different isoforms have been found for this gene.
