Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 11A (CD265) is a receptor for TNFSF11/RANKL/TRANCE/OPGL. CD265 is essential for RANKL-mediated osteoclastogenesis. CD265 is involved in the regulation of interactions between T-cells and dendritic cells. Defects in CD265 are the cause of familial e, Xenopus/Amphibian,pansile osteolysis (FEO). FEO is a rare autosomal dominant bone disorder characterized by focal areas of increased bone remodeling. The osteolytic lesions develop usually in the long bones during early adulthood.
