IL-1 refers to two proteins, IL-1alpha and IL-1beta which are the products of distinct genes, but which are recognized by the same cell surface receptors. IL-1alpha is a potent immuno-modulator which mediates a wide range of immune and inflammatory responses. The biotinylated BL1a-89 antibody is useful as a detection antibody for a sandwich ELISA or ELISPOT assay when used in conjunction with the purified BL1a-72 antibody as capture antibody and recombinant mouse IL-1alpha?(Cat. No. 562801) as the standard.
Catalogue number: 512503
Reactivities: Mouse
Hosts: Rat
Applications: Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot
Conjugates: Biotin
Size: 50 microg

Dilutions: Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by ELISA assay. For use as an ELISA detection antibody, a concentration range of 0.05-0.2 microg/ml is recommended. To obtain a linear standard curve, serial dilutions of mouse IL-1alpha recobinant protein ranging from 250 to 4 pg/ml are recommended for each ELISA plate. For Western Blotting applications, it is suggested to use 5 microg antibody per 5 ml antibody dilution buffer for each mini-gel. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
Storage buffer: The antibody solution should be stored undiluted at 4C. Do not freeze.
