Biotin anti-human IL-1beta

IL-1 refers to two proteins, IL-1alpha and IL-1beta which are the products of distinct genes, but which are recognized by the same cell surface receptors. IL-1beta is a potent immuno-modulator which mediates a wide range of immune and inflammatory responses including the activation of B and T cells. The JK1B-2 antibody reacts with human interleukin-1beta (IL-1beta) and baboon IL-1beta. The JK1B-2 antibody does not recognize mouse IL-1beta or human IL-1alpha or other cytokines. The JK1B-2 antibody can neutralize the bioactivity of natural or recombinant IL-1beta.

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by ELISA assay. For use as an ELISA detection antibody, a concentration range of 1-4 microg/ml is recommended. To obtain a linear standard curve, serial dilutions of human IL-1beta protein ranging from 250 to 2 pg/ml are recommended for each ELISA plate. For use as an ELISPOT detection antibody, a concentration range of 2-8 microg/ml is recommended. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
