This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-Bace1 Antibody, made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.
Reactivities: Mouse
Presku: AAP46850
Size: 100ug
Weight: 56kDa
Gene: 23821
Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: Bace1 is responsible for the proteolytic processing of the amyloid precursor protein (APP). Bace1 cleaves at the N-terminus of the A-beta peptide sequence, between residues 671 and 672 of APP, leads to the generation and extracellular release of beta-cleaved soluble APP, and a corresponding cell-associated C-terminal fragment which is later released by gamma-secretase.
