This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-APOA4 antibody (Catalogue #: ARP54316_P050) made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.
Presku: AAP54316
Size: 100 ug
Weight: 43kDa
Gene: 337
Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: The gene encoding APOA4 protein contains 3 exons separated by two introns. A sequence polymorphism has been identified in the 3'UTR of the third exon. The primary translation product is a 396-residue preprotein which after proteolytic processing is secreted its primary site of synthesis, the intestine, in association with chylomicron particles. Although its precise function is not known, apo A-IV is a potent activator of lecithin-cholesterol acyltransferase in vitro.Apoliprotein (apo) A-IV gene contains 3 exons separated by two introns.
