Anne, Xenopus/Amphibian,ins are a multigene family of Ca++-regulated phospholipid-binding proteins. They serve as membrane-membrane, or membrane-cytoskeleton linkers, and regulate the formation of lipid domains in the plasma membrane. Anne, Xenopus/Amphibian,ins possess a series of unique 70 amino acid anne, Xenopus/Amphibian,in-repeat modules that form a curved disk and allow for the creation of an intercessory comple, Xenopus/Amphibian, between plasma membrane and cytofilaments. Anne, Xenopus/Amphibian,in A11 binds specifically to calcyclin in a calcium-dependent manner. Anne, Xenopus/Amphibian,in A11 is required for midbody formation and completion of the terminal phase of cytokinesis.
