This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-ANKH antibody (Catalogue #: ARP50237_P050) made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.
Presku: AAP50237
Size: 100 ug
Weight: 54kDa
Gene: 56172
Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: ANKH regulates intra- and extracellular levels of inorganic pyrophosphate (PPi), probably functioning as PPi transporter. This gene encodes a multipass transmembrane protein that is expressed in joints and other tissues and controls pyrophosphate levels in cultured cells. Progressive ankylosis-mediated control of pyrophosphate levels has been suggested as a possible mechanism regulating tissue calcification and susceptibility to arthritis in higher animals. Mutations in this gene have been associated with autosomal dominant craniometaphyseal dysplasia. Publication Note: This RefSeq record includes a subset of the publications that are available for this gene. Please see the Entrez Gene record to access additional publications.
