This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-ALDH4A1 antibody (Catalogue #: ARP45697_T100) made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.

Size: 100 ug
Weight: 62kDa
Gene: 8659
Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: ALDH4A1 belongs to the aldehyde dehydrogenase family of proteins. This enzyme is a mitochondrial matrix NAD-dependent dehydrogenase which catalyzes the second step of the proline degradation pathway, converting pyrroline-5-carboxylate to glutamate. Deficiency of this enzyme is associated with type II hyperprolinemia, an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by accumulation of delta-1-pyrroline-5-carboxylate (P5C) and proline. This protein belongs to the aldehyde dehydrogenase family of proteins. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified for this gene.
