This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-ACAT2 antibody (Catalogue #: ARP32791_T100) made by Aviva Systems Biology. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications. Please inquire for more details.
Presku: AAP32791
Size: 100 ug
Weight: 44kDa
Gene: 39
Format: Lyophilized powder
Target: Acetyl-Coenzyme A acetyltransferase 2 is an enzyme involved in lipid metabolism. Reported patients with ACAT2 deficiency have shown severe mental retardation and hypotonus. The ACAT2 gene shows complementary overlapping with the 3-prime region of the TCP1 gene in both mouse and human. These genes are encoded on opposite strands of DNA, as well as in opposite transcriptional orientation.
