Properdin Antibody

Properdin is a positive regulator of the alternate pathway of complement that binds and stabilizes the C3/C5-convertase comple, Xenopus/Amphibian,es. Properdin deficiencies (PFD) result in higher susceptibility to bacterial infections, especially to meningococcal infections. This antibody recognizes human properdin in ELISA.
