Genomic clones for the largest human neurofilament protein (NF-H) were isolated, the intron/exon boundaries mapped and the entire protein-coding regions (exons) sequenced. mutations in neurofilaments have been linked to some forms of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT). |
