Problems in Recombinant Protein Production and Strategies for Solutions

Supplier: Creative Biomart 29/11/2013

Description

Right before the Thanksgiving Holiday, Creative Biomart hosted a web seminar to discuss common problems in recombinant protein production and strategies for solutions. The web-seminar lasted for 40mins.

During the webinar, the main host, Dr. J, the scientific officer of Creative Biomart led the participants (including researchers, students, partners, customers etc.) to review the common challenges with recombinant protein production from different hosts, the culture environment, loss of expression, posttranslational processing, protein aggregation, transport and localization, lengthy purification and inefficient refolding processes and so on. General knowledge and brief product/innovative technical platform overviews, including BacTECTM, OxiCytoTM, YeastXceedTM, BacuFlexTM, FoldEZTM etc. technologies, were also presented.

Conventionally overcoming these challenges need to delicate individual steps within the production process or increasing scale to meet quantity requirements to support trials. Therefore alternative techniques are developed, such as molecular biology techniques, manipulation of the culture environment, cell engineering, and bioprocess engineering etc. to solve these problems.

Videos and other information about the seminar will soon be released, please keep eyes on Creative Biomart Recombinant Proteins.
